How do you pronounce C'ba?
It's "see-ba." Two syllables, easy once you've said it once. You'll be a pro by your second visit.
What is C'ba Hair known for?
C'ba Hair is a hair salon in Capalaba, in Brisbane's Bayside. Blonde and balayage are what we're known for, but we're just as at home with regrowth top-ups, grey blending, rich brunettes, colour corrections and personalised style cuts. We're rated 5.0 from more than 1,700 reviews on Fresha.
Where is C'ba Hair?
We're at 147 Old Cleveland Road, Capalaba, Queensland 4157, in Brisbane's Bayside. There's free parking at the front and behind the salon.
Is there parking?
Yes, free parking right in front and behind the salon. No metres, no circling the block.
What are your opening hours?
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9am to 5.30pm, Thursday 9am to 9pm for our late night, and Saturday 8am to 2pm. We rest on Sunday and Monday.
Is the salon wheelchair accessible?
Yes. There's no step into the building, wide open spaces for mobility devices to move freely, and parking close by. Everyone's genuinely welcome here, every age and every ability. If you have specific access needs, let us know when you book, and we'll make sure everything's ready for you.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes, and they're basically permission to feel amazing. Hard to get wrong, and they never expire on the feeling. Grab one online or in the salon.
How do I book an appointment?
Book online via our booking link anytime, or call us on 07 3245 2350 during opening hours. Not sure what to book? Send us a photo of your hair and what you're after, and we'll point you to the right service before you commit.
Can I book online?
Yes! You can book online anytime using our booking link. If you're unsure which service to choose, send us a photo of your current hair and your inspiration, and we'll help you book the right appointment.
Do you take walk-ins?
Booking is the way to go. We don't advise walk-ins, since the right stylist and enough time for your service can't be guaranteed on the spot, especially for colour. Book online any time, or call us on 07 3245 2350.
Can I request a specific stylist?
bsolutely. Book with whoever you like through the booking link, or tell us who you're after and we'll get you in their chair. Each of our stylists has their own strengths, so if you're not sure which stylist suits your hair, send us a message, and we'll match you.
How long will my appointment take?
It depends on the service. A blow-dry takes 30 to 45 minutes, a cut around an hour, and more extensive colour work takes longer; foils, balayage, and scalp lightening can take three and a half to five hours, depending on your hair. Each service shows a time range when you book, so that you can plan your day.
What happens at my first appointment?
Every appointment starts with a proper consultation, so you'll know exactly what we're doing and why before anything begins. Tell your stylist where your head's at, whether it's your first salon visit ever or a look you're unsure about, and we'll talk you through each step. Zero judgment, always.
Do you offer quiet or silent appointments?
Yes. If you'd prefer a quieter appointment with minimal chat, let us know when you book, and we'll note it for your stylist. No explanation needed, and no offence taken. Sometimes you just want to switch off in the chair.
Can I book for a group, bridal party or formal?
Yes, you can book a group through our online booking link. Get everyone's services in, and we'll line up the stylists and the timing. For weddings, formals and bigger occasions, message us first with your date and numbers, and we'll make sure it runs smoothly on the day.
Why are your colour prices listed as "from"?
Because the final number depends on your hair. Length, thickness and what your hair needs all affect colour, so we quote "from" a starting price and confirm the exact figure at your consult, before any colour goes on. That price already includes your finishing style cut (swappable for a blow-dry), bond protection and a gloss, so it's close to the cost of your whole appointment, not a number that keeps climbing at the basin.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Some of our longer or higher-value services require a deposit to hold the time slot. If yours does, you'll see it when you book online or a week out, and it comes straight off your total on the day.
What is the Green Fee?
It's a small charge that funds our Sustainable Salons membership, the collection and recycling of our foils, colour, plastics and hair so they stay out of landfill. It's $3 per visit and goes straight to the program. A little thing that adds up to a lot less waste.
What payment methods do you accept?
Choose from Afterpay, Zip, EFTPOS, or good old-fashioned cash. So you can spread the cost of a bigger colour or extensions appointment if that suits you better.
What is your cancellation policy?
You can reschedule online for free up to 48 hours before your appointment. Inside 48 hours, a late cancellation or no-show may mean losing your deposit, since it's hard to fill the spot at short notice. If something's come up, call us on 07 3245 2350, and we'll do our best to sort it out.
What if I'm not happy with my hair?
Tell us within 14 days of your appointment, and we'll invite you back for a complimentary consultation to talk it through. From there, we'll make any reasonable adjustments free of charge. We'd always rather know than have you live with hair you don't love.
Who do you cut hair for?
Everyone. Every age, every gender, every ability, and every hair type is welcome at C'ba, including anyone after gender-affirming hair. We do style cuts for short, medium and long hair, plus fashion cuts for the bigger changes.
Do you cut men's hair?
Yes. Our cuts are priced by hair length, not by gender, so everyone books the same way. Whether it's your first salon visit or your hundredth, you're welcome in the chair.
Do you cut children's hair?
We do. Our Mini Me cuts are for the littlest family members. Same care, shorter chair time, and no pressure to sit perfectly still. Bring them in for a first-ever haircut or a regular tidy-up, and we'll keep it calm and quick.
Do you do hair extensions?
Yes. We fit Baciami, an Australian brand with the widest range of custom colours and lengths in Australia and New Zealand. That means your match is exact, not "close enough." Their hair also skips the acid bath, so the cuticle stays intact, and your extensions stay smooth, soft and tangle-free for longer.
Do you offer bridal and special event hair?
Yes. We do upstyles and bridal hair by consultation, because every bride and every formal is different, so we quote and plan each one individually rather than off a set price. Jaymee-Lee and Emma are our go-to for weddings, formals and events, with backstage experience at Sydney Fashion Week. Get in touch with your date and what you're picturing, and we'll take it from there.
Do I need a consultation before a colour correction or major colour change?
For colour corrections and extensions, yes, we start with a consultation to assess your hair and map out a safe hair plan before quoting. For most other services, your appointment already begins with a consultation chat, so you'll know exactly what's happening before we start. Not sure which you need? Send us a photo via socials or text, and we'll tell you.
Can you fix a colour that has gone wrong?
Yes, colour correction is one of the things we do most. Box dye gone green, brassy blonde, a black you want lifted, or someone else's work you're not happy with, we can usually help. It starts with a consult rather than a fixed price because we need to see your hair to map out a safe hair plan, sometimes over multiple visits. Send us a photo to start. You're not stuck with it, and you're not the problem.
Will lightening damage my hair?
Going lighter is a science, and we build bond protection into the lightener to look after your hair throughout the process. We'll always be honest about what's achievable in one visit. If a big change needs more than one to keep your hair healthy, we'll tell you that upfront rather than risk your hair. Healthy hair is always our priority.
Do I need a patch test before colouring my hair?
If you have a history of reactions to hair colour or sensitive skin, let us know when you book, and we'll talk you through it before your appointment. Your health and safety come first, always.
How often should I book in to maintain my colour?
It depends on your colour. Foils and full colour usually want a refresh every six to eight weeks, while balayage is designed to grow out softly, so you can stretch it to every three to four months. A gloss between appointments keeps your tone fresh in the meantime. Your stylist or Emma will recommend a rhythm that suits your hair and your budget. Every 4 weeks is the sweet spot for most hair.
How can I keep my colour looking fresh at home?
Use the homecare your stylist recommends; it's matched to exactly what your hair needs. For blondes, a purple shampoo keeps brassiness at bay between visits. We stock Kérastase, Redken, Olaplex and GHD in the salon, and your stylist will point you to the right few rather than sell you the whole shelf.
What haircare brands do you use and stock?
We colour with Redken and treat with Kérastase, including Kérastase Fusio Dose, which is worked into our full colour packages. For home, we stock Kérastase, Redken, Olaplex and GHD. Shop our product range online here.
For extensions, we fit Baciami, an Australian 100% virgin Remy hair brand with the widest range of custom colours and lengths in Australia and New Zealand.
